Project Overview

This project involved upgrading a large concrete flat roof area to create a well-insulated, durable and weather-resistant roofing system. The existing concrete roof was carefully built up using new timber, insulation and boarding before being finished with an EPDM membrane.

Works Completed

• Installed firing strips over the existing concrete flat roof to create the required fall
• Installed 18mm tongue and groove boards
• Fitted a vapour barrier
• Installed 120mm Celotex insulation
• Added a second layer of 18mm tongue and groove boarding
• Finished the roof with a new EPDM roofing membrane
• Completed all detailing to provide a durable and watertight finish

Result

The completed roof has been transformed into a modern, insulated flat roofing system, with the EPDM membrane providing a durable, low-maintenance and weather-resistant finish.
