SEI Roofing completed this liquid roofing project in Abbots Bromley, providing a durable, long-term waterproofing solution for a flat roof that had suffered from repeated leaks and failed repair attempts.
The customer had experienced ongoing water ingress despite several previous repair works. The roof's complex layout, with a pitched roof at the centre of the extension and surrounding parapet walls, made access difficult and prevented traditional repair methods from delivering a lasting solution.
The existing mineral felt roof was thoroughly cleaned, with all moss, dirt and debris removed to create a sound surface for the new roofing system. The roof was then primed before the first coat of Sika liquid roofing system was applied.
After allowing the base coat to cure for 24 hours, a reinforcing fibreglass mat was embedded before applying a further coat of liquid roofing. The system was completed with a protective top coat, creating a seamless, fully waterproof finish.
The completed liquid roofing system provides a seamless, weatherproof finish designed to withstand the elements while overcoming the access challenges that had caused previous repair attempts to fail. The customer now has a reliable, low-maintenance roofing solution built to last.
