SEI Roofing was asked to provide a long-term solution for a flat roof on Ashby Road, Burton upon Trent, after the customer experienced ongoing problems with water ingress.
Following an inspection, it was clear that simply carrying out another repair would not resolve the underlying issues. Instead, the existing roof structure was prepared to create a durable, watertight roofing system designed to provide long-lasting protection.
The flat roof had suffered from repeated failures over time, resulting in recurring leaks and ongoing maintenance. The customer wanted a reliable, permanent solution rather than another short-term repair.
The roof area was re-boarded using high-quality 18mm OSB (8' x 4') boarding to provide a strong, stable base for the new waterproofing system.
The surface was then carefully primed before the first coat of Sika liquid roofing system was applied. After allowing the base coat to fully cure for 24 hours, a second coat was installed over a fibreglass reinforcing mat to increase strength and durability.
To complete the installation, a protective top coat was applied, and new lead flashing was installed around the perimeter to provide a neat, weatherproof finish.
The completed roof now provides a seamless, fully waterproof surface designed to withstand the elements while giving the customer confidence that the long-standing issues have been properly resolved.
If you're looking for a durable liquid roofing solution in Burton upon Trent or the surrounding Staffordshire area, SEI Roofing can provide expert advice and high-quality workmanship tailored to your property.
