PITCHED ROOF TO A FLAT ROOF - Flat Roof Construction

A pitched roof that had been poorly constructed, the customer requested to alter the roof to a flat roof.

The pitched roof had been stripped back and a flat roof constructed, applying new insulation. To finish the job new fascia and guttering was applied.

Full Re-Roof of Grade II Listed Former School Building - Hawkins Lane

SEI Roofing recently completed a full re-roof project on a Grade II listed former school building on Hawkins Lane in Burton upon Trent.

The existing roof was fully stripped back to the original rafters before new breathable membrane and treated battens were installed. Due to the listed status of the property, special care was taken to preserve the character and appearance of the building throughout the works.
The original scalloped slates were carefully removed and retained in order to demonstrate that there were not enough usable existing slates to complete the roof replacement in keeping w... -

Chimney Repair
Leaking chimney due to Perished mortar. Chimney was re flashed with 18" code 4 lead before grinding out, re-pointing and re-capping the chimney.

Shingle Roof Replacement
Leaking felt shingled roof replaced with a fibreglass roof. Shingles stripped off back to board, overboarded with 18mm Tongue and Groove OSB before applying a 20 year guarantee Restec System

Flat Roof
Large concrete flat roofed area. Firing down strips, 18mm tongue and groove boards, vapour barrier and 120mm celotex laid before finishing with a second 18mm tongue and groove board. Finally finished with EPDM.

NEW SLATE TILED ROOF - CARDINAL SLATE
Location: WARWICKSHIRE
A bespoke job with which required alot of attention to detail. The slates are cardinal slates which give an old authentic look to a modern building. Each course diminished in width and length from eve to ridge.

Removal of Dormer Window

The customer requested the dormer window to be removed from the roof.

The dormer was dismantled and new rafters were applied to the roof, covered with felt and lath.
The exposed roof area was tiled in with tiles to match the existing roof.
